Two Weeks

I read that it only takes two weeks to create a new habit. I’ve been chasing carrots on this hamster wheel of a diet for a little over two weeks and I’m happy to report I have made some progress!

For some progress means going down a pant size, and shopping for jeans. For some progress is making a commitment to one’s self and the sweetest taste on earth is being loyal to that commitment.

Before I made this commitment, I could go through a full bag of chips in one sitting. And often did.

Out of hunger? Out of boredom? Out of the urge to be satiated by salt?

I currently have a bag of chips in my snack drawer that hasn’t been unclipped in weeks. My bag of carrots however…

Pure karat gold.

While I really don’t recommend pickled carrots as a snack, wherever you are in your journey, replacing chips with carrots together is not a bad idea to get into.
